# JavaScript - Web Editor
|
|
|
1. Download the .hex file you want to flash. If you don't have any particular .hex file you would like to flash, you can use this one: [Smile.hex](/uploads/165cf063f7be837502c90ec66e58365f/Smile.hex). To download a .hex file, push the "Download" button on the web editor.

2. Go to where your .hex file is. Click on the arrow on the download and select "Show in Folder"

3. Copy the .hex file (right click on it and select copy).

|
4. Plug your Micro::Bit into your computer using your Micro-USB cable. When you do this, a file will automatically open on your computer.

5. Paste the .hex file into the Micro::Bit directory (right click and select paste)
|

|
6. Lastly, the hex file will copy over. As this happens, the yellow light on the back of the Micro::Bit will flash and you will see something similar to this:

# Python - Web Editor
|
|
|

2. Go to where your .hex file is. Click on the arrow on the download and select "Show in Folder"

# Python - Mu Desktop Editor
|
|
|
1. Simply push the "Flash" button in your editor.
